COVID-19 Health & Safety Plan

Trade exhibitions, such as Online Retailer, are well ordered market places and are delivered in a controlled environment; as such, venues, organisers, exhibitors and attendees are able to take necessary steps that will minimise health risks from COVID-19 and ensure you are able to do business in a safe environment.

With that in mind, Reed Exhibitions, organisers of Online Retailer, have developed a set of enhanced health and safety protocols. This plan was developed based on the event risk assessment and the standard operating procedures and ongoing updates and developments with venues and safe work guidelines. Our goal is to improve upon these standards where it is necessary and appropriate to do so to support the health and safety of all those who attend our events, in whatever capacity.

COVID Safe Event Terms & Conditions

All attendees, exhibitors and visitors must register via a no-contact registration system to support the tracing requirements of all participants. Attendees must wear their unique name badge at all times and ID checks may take place where necessary.

QR Scanning

Upon entering the ICC Sydney all attendees will be required to scan a QR Code and enter their contact details via the Service NSW App. For ease of access, we recommend downloading the Service NSW App prior to this event. A QR scanning station will be set up at the lifts at the Northern entrance to the venue. Venue staff will man these locations to ensure all visitors to the site have checked in.

Show Entry/Exit Procedures

Access from the ICC Sydney car park is currently unchanged. The closest lift from the car park to Online Retailer is Lift 12. Signage will be located in the car park to direct you to the appropriate lift. If coming by public transportation the Northern Entry doors, closest to the Convention Centre, will be open throughout the duration of the event.

Physical Distancing

Based on the current 1 person per 2sqm capacity rule and the estimated attendance at Online Retailer 2021, the daily attendance at any one time falls under this capacity level, however we will be monitoring congestion and have a number of safety initiatives in place aligned to the NSW Health requirements and their consultation.

Face Masks

If face masks are required for Online Retailer 2021, as part of the NSW Health mandate, all patrons will be required to wear a face mask as a condition of entry. All attendees will be notified of this requirement prior to the event. You can also check back here for updates, as we will revise this information regularly. Additional information on face masks and their use can be found here.

Increased Hygiene Measures

  • Hand sanitiser stations
  • Hand washing instructions in restrooms
  • Regular sanitisation of high touch points including escalators, lifts buttons, door handles, handrails etc.
  • Deep cleaning pre, during and post event

During move-in children are not permitted inside the halls. Online Retailer is a business event so during show days, children under 16 are not permitted inside the halls. Visitors with babies (aged 0-2) in a pram or carrying device require a security approved pram sticker from Customer Service.

Medical Services

A dedicated first aid room and isolation area will be made available for any attendee feeling unwell or displaying COVID-19 symptoms.

Food and Beverage

  • Food control measures aligned to the NSW Heath requirements
  • Cashless event - only card payments will be permitted at catering outlets
  • All seating areas within cafes will comply with one person per 2sqm density limits.
  • Increased cleaning schedule of all catering furniture and surfaces.

We recommend visitors check the NSW Health website for the current public health advice in relation to locations where people who visited are required to self-isolate. If you have visited any of the locations noted please follow the direction of NSW Health.
