Fabio Bertola is Head of Seller Services for Amazon Australia. Following his graduate studies in Telecommunication Engineering Fabio moved to Australia where he worked with Pirelli Cables (later known as Prysmian) the largest cable manufacturer in the world. He held various roles finally heading their supply chain operations. He then worked on the acquisition of International Wire & Cables, a cable company in Auckland, New Zealand and managed the integration of their procurement and supply chain functions into Prysmian Australia & New Zealand. In this role he coordinated the creation of a regional procurement network across Asia Pacific. He joined Amazon in 2010 as Senior Project Manager for the launch of Amazon Italy. Post launch he worked as Senior Category Leader for Hardlines, launching Consumer Electronics, Software, Home, Kitchen and Lawn & Garden. He then returned to Australia and worked for the Winning Group, a major retailer in the appliances retail sector. He headed their Consumer Electronics and Small Appliances team, managing the merge of Appliances Online and Big Brown Box. He later was head of procurement for Appliances Online. When Amazon decided to launch its consumer business in Australia, Fabio was the first employee to join the new venture. In his role as Head of Seller Services he has worked to launch the Amazon Marketplace and allow Australian businesses to offer their products on Amazon Australia. With his team he is engaging local businesses of all sizes to help them reach a customer audience beyond what they currently have access to. Through the launch of services like Fulfillment by Amazon he is working with local or regional businesses and opening up doors to deliver at scale and competitively at a national level. Fabio holds a BS and MS in Telecommunication Engineering from the Politecnico di Torino, a MS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Illinois, Chicago and an MBA from ESADE Business School in Barcelona.
