… and that’s a wrap!

By Carmel Zein, Content Manager, Online Retailer Conference & Expo

It’s a wrap for the 10th anniversary of Online Retailer! Firstly, we want to say a huge thank you to all of our partners, delegates, sponsors, advisers and supporters, the success of the show this year is a huge credit to the community we have backing us and we are committed to improving the experience for you, year after year.

For the team here at Online Retailer, the most rewarding aspect of the show is the connections, insight and value that we see businesses take with them to help drive ecommerce in Australia and it was heartening to hear some of the testimonials from the show:

“I found the most value in networking and learning from industry experts”

“The industry is growing fast and it’s a great way to stay informed”

“A great event to keep in touch with advancements in the industry as well as other ecommerce professionals.”

“I learned more in two days than in 3 years.”

Ruslan Kogan (CEO, Kogan.com) & Gary Starr (Executive General Manager, Business and Government, Australia Post)

Keynote Speakers

There was an overwhelmingly positive response to the international keynote speaker this year with more than 70% of delegates stating that a highlight of the show was hearing from Netflix and particularly ‘hearing the nitty gritty of how they got the business off the ground and learning what mistakes they made’.

Gender parity

Another movement we are proud to pioneer is gender parity throughout the show and seeing the feedback praising the ZIP Women in Leadership lunch and hearing ‘the calibre women represented was outstanding’ makes it clear that we have your support to continue to champion these movements.

Stellar attendance in 2018

All in all, 2018 was our biggest show yet with our delegate attendance going up by 15% and total unique visitation up by 16%. The vibe was electric, the speakers of high level and the expo floor showcasing the best ecommerce solutions Australia has to offer.
